It's not a typo, it's medieval

While doling out awards left and right in yesterday's post, I mentioned that I read very few blogs by authors who represent the demographics with which I'm associated. And in doing so, I completely forgot to highlight The Expvlsion of the Blatant Beast.

Bo is very intelligent, highly articulate, and a master storyteller. Plus he's super cute. Adorable, in fact. So, y'know, extra brownie points there.

Yvonne nominated him after I nominated her, so all is good in Pagan Blogdom. But when you get the chance, please do check out what he has to say. You'll be glad you did.

I <3 your blog too, but you'd already been tagged.

I wanted to [heart] you, too, on account of Anne = Diva, but you were tagged before I was even nominated.

This Famous Pagan Blogger thing is a vicious circle, no? People like us, I just don't know how we cope...

Oh look at you two complaining about how terrible it is to be Famous Pagan Bloggers, oh! Hermit that I am, and ambivalence to bloggy awards notwithstanding, I have to admit I'm vaguely jealous.

Damn this being-in-hiding stuff!

What an astonishingly graceful blog that is, The Expvlsion of the Blatent Beast. I just spent several hours over there. He has long amazing posts on Jungian analysis, Remedios Varo, and Sindarin; how could I not love that? And he dreams of David Tennant.

Thank you so much for telling us about him.

Hi Thalia and all - as a matter of fact I found him whilst googling for Remedios Varo, and then discovered we have loads of other tastes in common, like Kate Bush, Sylvia Plath, Dead Can Dance, and so on.

I'm really touched! Thanks!

(I'm actually quite, quite dreadful...)

Thalia, I was going to nominate you, too, but I didn't know if it would go over well, what with you being in hiding right now. (Next time, I'll e-mail you first.)

But your blog is also graceful and astonishing, and I think you're great.

Bo is being too modest, he's not at all dreadful. He has Opinions - but that makes him Interesting.

Yay, just noticed the headline above the MetaPagan widget - "Better than Reuters" - made me go all gooey inside! Thank you so much, Evn!

(grin) It's all the Pagan news that's fit to print.

Thanks, Evn. Sorry to get all pouty; I think I'm just grumpy lately.

Bo, I'm not sure what you mean by being quite dreadful, but if you're talking about your writing, well, you're just flat-out wrong. That's some of the most beautiful stuff I've ever read.

After reading your blog for a while I came back to mine and re-read my last post; and I just felt clumsy and, well, American.

You may pout as much as you'd like here. Pouting is a key element of effective Strifemongering.

But you know what's funny? Your blog makes me feel clumsy and American. Or at least banal.

Thalia said...

Thanks, Evn, you're a sweetie.

But "banal"? Your writing is, to use a New Englandism, wicked funny.

And your masthead Jack Chick-tract collage illo is freakin' genius. I laugh every time.

Evn said...

Hee hee, I love my masthead. I'm so hoping to get a "Cease and Desist" from the Chick people.

Thalia said...

Heh. I chuckle an evil chuckle with you.

Actually I read several blogs by authors who represent the demographic with which we're associated, as you so delicately put it. Quite a few of them are on my blog-roll at the dance of the elements.

Evn said...

I'm nothing if not delicate. And thanks for the links! I look forward to browsing them.

Ok, I answered the questions *grin*. I'm exhausted, did the Renn Faire today and celebrated being with Russ for 10 years. We won wine! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. In other news, I've decided never to do a photo-shoot drunk again if the theme for the shoot is supposed to be Vampires. Especially not if I'm the model. (long story, will have to blog about it in the near future).
